Director's Comments
We send out a weekly curriculum for parents to review with their child and encourage them to help their child with homework :).
We also put out a monthly newsletter to keep our families up to date on any changes in the room and other happenings that are going on.
We also have two parent-teacher conferences a year and more as needed.
Teacher are also comfortable setting up phone-conferences on a as needed basis and notes when parents desire those forms of communication.

Director's Comments
When a child starts in our classroom we work towards creating a safe and trusting environment for the child and family. We encourage parents to set up a transition schedule (short visits with parents before they officially start). We also encourage the parent to plan short days for the child's during thier first week at school. We also make sure to keep the lines of communication open during a child's first few weeks (via emails or phone calls).
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
This preschool is not structured along a specific fall start; it operates year round. Kids 'graduate' in August when they start kindergarten. Most kids have been at Beginnings before entering Preschool (some start in infant care; some join in the toddler room)so the separation process is not usually a big deal - it is more of a transition from one room, set of teachers and friends to the next. Often, thekids already know the teacher and have friends in the class room.
Parent #2
Students in the preschool classrooms usually continue on from the infant and toddler rooms, so most students are not new when they enter the preschool; the school does not specifically run on a 'school year' schedule.
Drop-in Policy
- During school parents are welcomed as the school has an open door policy

A Great Book Rhymes!
Kids are a funny bunch. They are often loath to change and anything new. But still, our little ones are open to so much -- and so much more than we more ossified parents are! Think of poetry: preschoolers happily read and repeat poems with ease and
