Savvy Source's Comments
Knowing that the school merely supplements the home life of our children, a close relationship with parents is encouraged in hope that home and school may benefit from cooperation, planning and understanding. Regularly scheduled parent-teacher conferences are planned to meet this goal.
Parent orientation meetings are held in the fall. Attendance at these meetings is required by at least one parent of each child.
At the time of registration, parents sign an agreement to attend parent meetings and parent-teacher conferences. These meetings are designed to present pertinent information in the education and development of young children and to provide opportunities for parent-teacher communication and fellowship. The dates, time and topics will be announced later.
Open House in the fall and "My Special Night with Mom and Dad" in the spring provide special opportunities for parents to share their child's preschool experience.
Parents are asked to bring a nutritious snack once every month during the school year. Planning these snacks with your child can be a learning experience.
There are many other ways parents may volunteer to help the school, which include: helping with field trips, the library, and in the office. Parents may, also, serve on the Preschool Advisory Council and other committees.

Being Savvy Today
On My Own
We met up with my father for a weekend in Grayton Beach, Florida . It was too short as the girls don't see nearly enough of their grandparents, but we packed it full of fun. We spent our last day on the beach

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
