Parents' Comments

Parent #1
This school is very child friendly. It has the little potties and sinks. This is also more of a classroom setting as well as a play setting. The teachers and full staff REALLY love and care about the kids. The Parent Volunteer group is awesome and really care about the school.

Parent #2
Lakeside is a co-op school in which parents, grandparents, and other family members are welcomed and encouraged to become involved in activities as well as within the daily classroom. The teachers and staff have many years of dedicated experience and are very loving, yet firm with the children. Although the school is play-based, the teachers do provide feedback to the parents about each individual child's development in specific areas and do make recommendations to outside resources, if needed.

Parent #3
Lakeside is a wonderful preschool. I reccomend it highly. The teachers are wonderful and have years of experience. They also have a yard teacher, who does much more than yard duty. At conference time, I was given a comprehensive list how my daughter was advancing in her gross motor skills. This was valuable information, and I was so impressed as to how thorough she complied her evaluations. I've heard many teachers in parochial schools say that their best prepared students come from Lakeside. It's play based, but with just right amount of structure that prepares them for Kindergarten.

Kids are a funny bunch. They are often loath to change and anything new. But still, our little ones are open to so much -- and so much more than we more ossified parents are! Think of poetry: preschoolers happily read and repeat poems with ease and
