Good Samaritan is a year-round school, so the 'start of the school year' time frame doesn't really work. Also, I would say it's somewhere in between a play-based and 'learning goals' based program. They were really focused on helping kids achieve appropriate developmental goals, did a lot of reading and work on letters, but it was not an academic program. A lot of attention was paid to general development and especially social development, but it was in a structured environment. Also, it is a bi-lingual program (Spanish/English).

Good Samaritan was very welcoming and supportive of parents. Whenever we had a concern, we could talk about it with the teachers and director, and they would then confer and develop ideas and solutions.
