Director's Comments
1. We encourage children to tour school w/ parent before they start. 2. Encourage parents to talk about the school, teachers, etc. for at least 1 week prior to first day. 3. Encourage parents to leave w/ a big smile to cue child that all is well. 4. We give check-in calls to parents during the morning if requested.
Generally, because we are small schools with a "home-away-from-home" feel we find that children usually transition in surprisingly smoothly. It is often more difficult for the parents than the children.

My son is only 2 years old and started Ladybug Too in March 2006 so we have not had a full year experience so I cannot comment on some of the yearly procedures etc...

There is not a preshcool seperation process that I am aware of. This school is not set up currently to be this formal as far as having a seperation process, end of year summary on child, planning for new school year (also, this school is year-round except for a couple of weeks off in July and holidays), etc. Although, if asked, my experience has been that this school is flexible and open to such requests. Also, it is important to note that when I chose this school for my son, there were many practical and postive factors. Close to home, familiarity of this school, good word from other neighbors. Mainly, I wanted a social outlet for my child and this was a great start.

Our daughter has been enrolled at LadyBugs since she was 4 1/2 months of age. The director and the entire staff provide a warm, nuturing and loving environment that has allowed our daughter to grow into an independent, verbal and confident little girl.
Parent #4
The teachers give daily reports when I pick up my son. They let me know exactly what the children did during the day and what my son liked/did not like. These talks are enormously beneficial and one of the features I most enjoy about the school.
Parent #5
Lady Bug Too is for 2 year olds and so not all questions are fair example teacher meetings parents have meetings before school starts etc.

A Great Book Rhymes!
Kids are a funny bunch. They are often loath to change and anything new. But still, our little ones are open to so much -- and so much more than we more ossified parents are! Think of poetry: preschoolers happily read and repeat poems with ease and
