Parent #1
Some of these questions I was not able to answer since it is only our first year and I do not know what happens at the end of the year.
Parent #2
This school is not 'academic' based, but rather, focuses on learning to get along with others, follow directions, etc.
Parent #3
You say that this is for parents whose children are or have attended this preschool, but the dates given to chose from do not match for those of us whose children attended many years ago - my first child started in 1999 and my last one left in 2004 - so, the dates given do not work for me, and I could not leave it blank because it had an asterisk next to it. may want to include 'other' as an option.
Parent #4
During the separation process I received phone calls from the director about my childs progress and milestone moments. Our preshcool is child based but also has focused learning with the days' curriculum posted at the door.
Parent #5
While parents are always welcome to watch the class through the glass in the door anytime, it is discouraged to let the children see you because it can be distracting and may cause distress for a child to see his/her own parent without being able to be with them.
Parent #6
We do not have a say where they go when they go to Kindergarten. As far as separation goes, the school encourages parents to not linger, as it makes it more difficult on the child the longer the parent is there. However, we are allowed as parents to make that decision to stay or go. The majority of kids do not have major separation issues, but those that do receive one-on-one attention. We try to get them past it as soon as possible.

Parent #8
Parents have the opportunity to organizes activities for the preschoolers throughout the year, i.e. splash day, fall festival, winter days, stone soup, art show, etc. We as parents have the opportunity to get involved and enjoy our children enjoy these events. Everyone is friendly and friendships have developed through preschool, even more so than at the elementary because of the involvement and getting to know other parents at drop-off and pick-up of our children. These relationships begin a nice association into the transfer to elementary, for both child and parent.
Parent #9
There was a parent committee that met monthly to plan several activities during the year for the children during school hours

It has been so easy to communicate with the teachers at LTUMC Preschool. The teachers are available at drop-off and pick-up to discuss light matters. They make themselves available through appointment if needed to discuss more detailed matters. The teachers inform us through notes of upcoming events. LTUMC Preschool circulates monthly newsletters.

A Great Book Rhymes!
Kids are a funny bunch. They are often loath to change and anything new. But still, our little ones are open to so much -- and so much more than we more ossified parents are! Think of poetry: preschoolers happily read and repeat poems with ease and
