Also, Country Home did a fantastic job of giving me detailed feedback on how my daughter did in school on numerous subjects from recognizing letters/numbers, social skills, gross motor, etc.

I answered "abbreviated schedule at start of school year" in reseponse to how the school handles start of preschool separation ONLY because "none of the above" wasn't listed as an option. Children visit their new classrooms a couple of times before starting, but that's the only thing the school does to help with transition. When a child is starting in a new class, there aren't any extra measures taken. Often, the child's new teacher doesn't even introduce herself. If your child is having a hard time separating from you, some of the teachers don't step in to help out. I have had to ask teachers to help me with my child so I can leave the room more than once. It's basically sink or swim for your child.

This is a large daycare with no real parent community. It would be nice to see something like this formed, but currently there is nothing in the works.
Parent #5
There was no attempt to meet with the parents as my child started the school and no parent community at all.
Drop-in Policy
- During school parents are welcomed as the school has an open door policy

Parents are from a large area and communicate with each other as they feel friendly with others that they meet.
Parent #5
Nothing!
Parent #6
There was not a parent community
Parent #7
County Home (South) does not have a cohesive parent group outside of the school but as the school is in the middle of our neighborhood and community, we often play sports and do other activities outside of school which allows us to get to know the other parents better.
Parent #8
There is no parent community. Country Home does nothing to faciliate interaction between parents.

A Great Book Rhymes!
Kids are a funny bunch. They are often loath to change and anything new. But still, our little ones are open to so much -- and so much more than we more ossified parents are! Think of poetry: preschoolers happily read and repeat poems with ease and
