Parents enrolling their children for the first time are encouraged to bring them for short periods of time the first few classes to get them comfortable with their teacher and the school.
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
My child is not in pre-school level yet, but I answered the questions based on our current situation.
Parent #2
I am not sure I was able to answer the separation process questions accurately, since we have not begun this process!
Parent #3
My son is a after schooler. He really liked the atmosphere, the teachers are really nice and they do not have a big turn around. I've noticed even the college kids come back to work on there breaks from school. It's a great place for the fact that they have a open door policy and it is easy to talk to the whole entire staff. The management takes care of concerns and problems in a timely manner.

I think the CC-Spicewood does a great job with mixing their curriculum through play. Our experience is that it's not a hard core curriculum with strict guidelines. Our children learn social growth as well - setting a table; cleaning up after yourself; taking care of your own dishes and respect for other children as well. The Director and his/her involvement and support of the teachers is very crucial to the way the school functions. We're fortunate to have a fabulous director. She's apporachable and pretty open. Communication to parents about changes of teachers or things going on is the only area we've been frustrated with.
Parent #6
Our school does the above items through-out the year-not just at the beginning or end of the year- I rated them on an over-all basis since this is an on-going program.
Parent #7
In general we are very happy with the Children's Courtyard. I think, as with every school, a lot depends on the teacher you have. Most of the teachers at Children's Courtyard have been wonderful.

Regarding separation, my daughter has been at CCY Spicewood since 2001, just before her 1st birthday. So separation was not an issue for us. She already knew her teacher, as she knows most of the teachers at the school.
Parent #10
My child is an infant, a lot of this does not apply yet or I'm not familiar enough to accurately answer.

Parent #12
My daughter is currently in the pre-preschool program and we could not be happier with her progress. The only issue we have ever had is the turn-over rate of her infant and toddler teachers.
