Savvy Source's Comments
Beginnings encourages a strong working relationship between teachers and parents. We stress open communication and close collaboration. Daily communication is provided to parents so they understand what their child is experiencing. We encourage parents to let us know of any incident, no matter how small, that may occur at home to further help us know your child.
Beginnings encourages parents to spend as much time as they can visiting us. We have special observation booths for training and research purposes, and also as a means for parents to observe their children interacting with peers and adults. Questions about children?s behavior are welcome and we do all we can to help parents understand the development of their child.
To further assist communication, parent-teacher conferences are held at specific intervals during the year. There are also special curriculum nights and activity days for parents and their children. Please refer to our school year calendar for these dates.

Parents' Comments
Parent #1
1. My daughter had no pre-enrollment meeting because she has been there since 4 months old. We did spend time in the classroom prior to her enrollment. And, more interestingly, my then 4-yr-old son was given 'field trips' down to see her because that was important to him. Beginnings does host open houses before the beginning of each school year AND, when my son joined mid-yr at age 3, his teachers visited us at home. 2. I rate the cohesiveness of the parent community as neutral because I work full-time and rarely even drop off or pick up any more. I am not typical in that regard and am not in a position to really say.

A Great Book Rhymes!
Kids are a funny bunch. They are often loath to change and anything new. But still, our little ones are open to so much -- and so much more than we more ossified parents are! Think of poetry: preschoolers happily read and repeat poems with ease and
