Director's Comments
There are regular progress reports that go home. A parent and teacher may meet any time, but are especially encouraged to do so during reporting periods. There are daily and weekly letters that go home to the parents to explain the activities and any at home follow up activities. All Saints' has its annual Open House and holiday programs where families can come together to celebrate their child. The very best part of our communication and connection to families comes in the form of daily contact between the children, the parents, and the staff of All Saints'.
Separation
| OVERALL RATING (5.0) |
Beginning of the year separation is handled through:
- Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
- Small group sessions

Director's Comments
Most of our new families have their children visit the school before classes start. One example is having the child enrolled in Summer Camp the week before school starts in order that they can meet their teachers informally and acquaint themselves with the campus. This can also be done on a case by case basis.
The other way in which separation is handled is through positive encouragement and parent training. We convey to the parents the importance of showing their child a firm, positive, and loving goodbye so that the child knows that mom or dad is feeling okay and that they are okay.
Finally, the teachers are very sensitive to the needs of the children and encourage them to express their feelings while at the same time have them focus on the positive friends and activities of the moment.
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
The All Saints' Day School PTO is a brand new organization. The PTO was created to provide resources, events, activities and information to parents of All Saints' students. As the organization grows they will meet on a regular basis, establish community events and outreach. Because it is new, many things are still in the works, but great things are on the way!

Being Savvy Today
Kids Around the World
It's well known that if you want to get your preschoolers interested in something, the best way is to show them that other kids are involved. This rule holds for almost everything, even geography! Think about it this way: if you were to take your kids on a
Montessori? Waldorf? Play-based?
What school type is right for your child? Is one model better than another? What does the research say?

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
