Director's Comments
We respect that each child, family, and circumstance is different. We expect a parent to stay for the first entire day to acclimate the child to the surroundings and people. After that, it is at the discretion of parents, in conversation with the teachers. Some parents stay for a while, gradually leaving for longer and longer periods. Others prefer to "rip the band-aid" and leave quickly. By tailoring it to the separation style of each child, we have found that we have relatively little crying and anxiety over separation.
