The Corner Co-Op is a wonderful, supportive community and I feel blessed that my child's first academic experience was so enriching and loving. The program requires a lot of time and commitment on the part of parents, but I really enjoyed getting to know my child's classmates, teachers and the other parents. The curriculum is not highly structured nor is it focused on 'teaching' per se. Children learn through experience and are encouraged to be creative and use their imagination. As a faculty member once said to me, 'children can always be taught to stand in line and learn the alphabet. It's much harder to teach them to be creative later in life.'

The Co-Op is a very tight-knit and supportive community ready to lend a hand when a new baby is born, a family has a crisis or someone needs help finding a nanny, plumber, etc.

A Great Book Rhymes!
Kids are a funny bunch. They are often loath to change and anything new. But still, our little ones are open to so much -- and so much more than we more ossified parents are! Think of poetry: preschoolers happily read and repeat poems with ease and
