We hope the first days at our center will be a comfortable transition for everyone. The time it takes for a child to adjust and settle in varies. We suggest that parents and children attend our program together to get acquainted with us and gain a sense of security. This will ease the separation anxiety for both the children and the parents. It is important for parents to understand that the center is a place for children. Parents in the classroom can be a distraction. We would like parents to find a spot to sit and observe. Children can then explore and feel confident knowing that their parent is available if they are feeling insecure or afraid. We suggest discussing your needs and your children's needs regarding separation before your enrollment begins so we can work together to make the transition a positive experience.
