Home-School Connection
Director's Comments
I send out Monthly Newsletters regarding what our themes are for the month and any special days we will be having for those themes. We hold parent/teacher meetings upon the parents request or teachers to talk about their childs growth, our plans to help them along and any discipline problems we feel there are. We make ready flyers and any educational classes for parents available in our community. We keep track of childrens "academic" growth throughout the year and as the children get closer to Kindergarten, we will meet with the parents and chat about where the child is, our goals and talk about school.

Before enrollment, we encourage parent sto bring in their child a few times before they actually start. For them and their child to come and visit for a short time and let the child get use to the school, class, children and teachers. We also encourage them to bring them at different times on each visit. Once the child does start, we will help the child say good bye to the parent, and will sit with the child at our big window so they can wave once more. We will continue to sit with them and chat about all the fun we are going to have. Perhaps read them a book or just let them sit and watch for a while. Usually another child will help by including them in play.
