Parent #1
This is the only private Catholic preschool in the Bay Area and the only Montessori one. The teachers are wonderful individuals and treat each child as being special and develop an academic plan tailored to each student. This is definitely the best preschool in the Bay Area.

The parent community is extraordinarily supportive and the staff are truly there for the children. They often spend their time on Saturdays playing with the children so that parents can enjoy the many parent workshops that the principal and priest provide. When students are making poor choices or having disagreements with one another, they are encouraged to talk about appropriate behavior and to learn empathy through actions such as helping one another with various activities.

Amazing Preschool. Kids graduate knowing how to read. They have knowledge in lots of subjects and they are being formed academically and integrally.

I like the 'whole child' educational approach at Canyon Heights which begins even in preschool level. Their education emphasize on character development, spiritual development as well as intellectual development. My child is developing a sense of right and wrong, love of God, service to others. These are things that we teach at home; but when supplemented at school, make the process twice as effective.

Canyon Heights is a school like no other in the Bay Area. The education my daughter receives focuses on more than just her academic progress, they have really found a way to education the whole child. CHA offers an integral formation which shapes her intellect, builds virtue, fosters her relationship with Christ and also begins - even in preschool - to direct her outside of herself to see what she can do for others. The environment here is extremely warm and the community is a very close one. The priests do an amazing job serving everyone's needs and I find that by attending the parent seminars given throughout the year that I am learning as much as my daughter. CHA is a place for families - not just children.

A Great Book Rhymes!
Kids are a funny bunch. They are often loath to change and anything new. But still, our little ones are open to so much -- and so much more than we more ossified parents are! Think of poetry: preschoolers happily read and repeat poems with ease and
