In addition to truly being a great place to learn, very much like a public school kindergarten, this school goes above and beyond. The teachers are very much into all the holidays. They had after-hours Halloween and Christmas programs. The Christmas program was spectacular. Just last week, they had 'Rodeo Day.' It even included a petting zoo! The children loved it. Last Fall, there was a Spaghetti Dinner with wonderful music provided by a well-known Christian musician. Later this Spring, there will be a field trip and a field day. I really don't know how to express how truly happy and impressed with this preschool we are. The learning, the extra-curriculars, teachers...the whole program is simply fabulous. This place rocks!!!

The school mixes ages from 3 years to 5 years old, so older learn to help younger, and younger learn from older.

Overall Giant Steps has been a very positive experience for myself and child. My daughter only attends the school on a Tuesday and Thursday schedule and is progressing very well. My daughter has one more academic school year before she begins kindergarten and I plan on continuing with the Giant Steps program.

My daughter began reading at Giant Steps at the age of three. She has learned so much through music. The school has done a great job with putting history, etc. to music. There are also many functions held to get the parents to together.

I feel that parents are told if their child has issues with interaction but they are not given specific examples of what occured or given direction on how to fix problems. Overall it is an excellent school and I would reccomend it to anyone. I feel safe and that the teachers have a geniuine interest in their students success. Very loving environment

My son had the unfortunate experience of attending 3 different daycare/preschools before the age of 4. Luckily we found Giant Steps and he attended there the two years before going to Kindergarten (he's a September baby). The biggest thing I don't see at Giant Steps that I have seen at all the other daycare/preschools, is a revolving door with the teachers. At other places, it seemed as though my son had a different teacher almost every other week, and it seemed they were only there because it was the only job they could get, they didn't have a genuine care for the children. In the three years that I have been at Giant Steps, I have seen only two teachers leave, and thier replacements were just as qualified and energetic as they were. All the teachers are there and were hired to work there because they are truly interested in developing the children. We have thouroughly researched many preschools in this area of San Antonio, and I can say with no reservations that Giant Steps is the best one there is and I have no problem referring anyone to take their child there. You can be rest assured that your child will be taken care of and being loved at Giant Steps!

Giant Steps is an 'ideal' preschool program. As a child advocate and teacher, my dream would be that every child would receive their early education from a program like the one at Giant Steps!

A Great Book Rhymes!
Kids are a funny bunch. They are often loath to change and anything new. But still, our little ones are open to so much -- and so much more than we more ossified parents are! Think of poetry: preschoolers happily read and repeat poems with ease and
