It is in a beautiful setting. Great yard, great curriculum and great teachers

Pat Territo is a veteran of Marin Day schools and runs this wonderful preschool extremely well. I believe that the initial review of this facility was made relatively soon after the center opened and when the original director was in charge - it was not a tightly run facility and a lot of kinks have been worked out since then. The teachers are fantastic and very knowledgeable, the facility is beautiful, clean and safe and the children are overwhelmingly happy. My daughter has been there for almost 3 years (from when LDACCC first opened) and I've seen it turn around drastically. Parent involvement is welcomed and encouraged and the faculty are warm and approachable. They really listen to your concerns and are proactive about making any changes that you feel are important.
Snacks are very healthy and an effort is made to provide organic foods whenever possible. There is a new compost program as well.

teachers have very good and open communication with the parents.
i have seen a couple of incidents where the teachers must employ conflict resolution techniques between some children, and they are consistent, firm, and effective.

Beautiful new play area, spacious classrooms, in the LDAC building. The assistants in the class follow the directives from the classroom teacher, while the teachers are busy trying to prepare documentation and are too busy to even spend quality time with the students. No authentic parent teacher communication, the preference is for a mass email leaving one with the impression that quality learning is taking place. Unless you are an employee of the Digital Center, be prepared to be second fiddle, despite spending lots of money. Director really is unaware and/or claims to be unaware of the lack of attention given to students. Students are happy as it is a daycare, not a preschool.

A Great Book Rhymes!
Kids are a funny bunch. They are often loath to change and anything new. But still, our little ones are open to so much -- and so much more than we more ossified parents are! Think of poetry: preschoolers happily read and repeat poems with ease and
