Director's Comments
Question to director: Do you have any additional thoughts on what parents should consider when looking at your school? Is there any advice that you would like to provide to prospective parents?
At Burr School we have one preschool classroom that offers either a morning (9:00 am - 11:30 am) or an afternoon class (12:15 pm - 2:45 pm) session. Each class meets five days a week and follows the Chicago Public Schools calendar.
In the classroom there is typically 17 kids and one highly qualified teacher as well as one teachers assistant.
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
Great curriculum , fun, interactive classrooms and excellent teachers. Burr is a world language magnet school, so pre schoolers are exposed to Japanese twice a week and also have art, music and library as extras. Teachers communicate effectively with parents. My child is really enjoying himself and loves to go to school.

Parent #3
I really feel that this class and it's teachers are an undiscovered gem among the more high-profile preschool options. As parents we tend to want so much for our children to have 'the best' of something that we allow ourselves to decide based on indices like cost or reputation. While this might be a generally useful model, it'd be a big mistake to overlook the Burr School simply for want of it's being pricey and esteemed.
