My oldest son had separation anxiety and the director let him go to her office in the morning until he calmed down, then she'd walk him to his classroom. By the end of the day, he wanted to stay with his teacher and hid under her chair! (And didn't want to come home with me!)My younger son has his own issues and they are so patient with him, they are willing to let him do his own thing, even if it means he doesn't always do the projects that the other kids do, he is getting the social interaction he needs.
