Parents' Comments
Parent #1
My child was there in 2006 in the infant class, by the end of the year I had moved my child to another day care. There was a high turnover rate, and I must say the teachers and staff were very unattentive. They talked to parents about other parents and about other staff members. Several of them would be seen outside smoking and seemed to busy with their personal lives to care for the children. My son had one of the worst diaper rashes while there simply because he wasn't being changed adequately. He hasn't had one like that since. They also had family members of the owner working there, one of who was a recoving alcoholic who wasn't recovered as one teacher told me. I did hear that they sold the day care and it has new owners now, however it looks like they are still trying to enroll/hire new teachers. I also believe that they kept some of the problem staff from before. I simply would not recommend this day care.

My child was there for better part of a year, and he went through a lot of teachers/classroom staff, that it was hard for me to learn names before they were gone!! high turnover. My two year old was expected to entertain himself while staff were talking on the phone, chatting with each other, playing with one or two prefered kids. when my child started acting out, they totally botched the situation and asked me to take him home immediately, and wanted me to pay for 2 weeks though he was not going to be there!! care was poor and staff inattentive. i put him in another day care and he is so happy!! i did not realize how horribly i had misjudged discovery point until i say 180 degree turnaround in attitude from scared, whinny clingy child to happy, self confident and talkative child (he hardly talked at when at discovery pt). he felt more secure and did not act so clingy and whinny when i left him at daycare!

It was a cold and soggy day at the Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo. Cold, that is, for March day here in Austin. Of all the sights to see, my son spent most of our visit at the petting zoo. He picked out his

Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
