The classroom experience was wonderful for my child. The administration is another story however. Many parents find the administration impossible to deal with, policies are arbitrary or non existent. The sense of community among the families is nearly non existent.

One of the primary strengths of BSC is its confidence in the individual child. The teachers (all trained in the UK) believe in the young child's ability to learn...in reading, math, music, etc. Some three-year-olds at BSC are reading. Private piano instruction is offered to students as young as 4 in the school's Saturday music school. Math is taught from age 3 upwards. French is taught 2-3 times per week from the age of 3. In addition to formal instruction in reading, math, languages, music, art, etc., students are exposed to a multicultural world of learning each day through peers who come from various countries and cultures.

We have been very pleased with the academic program. Our child has learned more pre-reading and pre-math skills than we even expected. Also, we have been impressed with the school's ability to instill a sense of respect and politeness while still being a warm and nurturing environment. The other parents are very friendly.
