Director's Comments
Question to director: Do you have any additional thoughts on what parents should consider when looking at your school? Is there any advice that you would like to provide to prospective parents?
St. Paul School enjoys a diverse population that includes Pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade. A close relationship between the middle school students and the Pre-Kindergarten through second graders develops through our Care Bears program. This system pairs an older student with a younger one when we attend weekly Mass (starting in November for Pre-Kindergarten) and other special occasions. The older students gain leadership skills as they model Christian behaviors. The younger students learn that prayer and worship are important to all ages as they participate in Mass under the guidance of the older students. Pre-Kindergarten children are also integrated with the school through attending age-appropriate assemblies such as pep rallies, cultural programs, and special liturgies. They also participate in our annual Veteran's Day parade and are part of the Christmas program produced by Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd grade students. Last year two Pre-Kindergarten students were given the esteemed titles of King and Queen in our first annual Mardi-Gras parade. We also participate with all fund-raising activities such as Campbell Soup label collections, Box Tops for Education, Walk-a-thon, and sales contests.
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
I am so happy with this school and cannot say enough good things about it. I love that the Pre-K program is really preparing the children for the challenges they will face in kindergarten. My little girl has already started basic reading.
Parent #2
The teachers here tend to be here for long periods, there does not seem to be a lot of personnel change. The teachers are always helpful, no matter what your question. My son has loved being here and learned alot.
Parent #3
St. Paul's preschool program is very good. It really prepared my son for kindergarten. I was truely amazed at what my son was able to accomplish. He is a smart boy, and the teachers were able to push him without stressing him out. Overall, it was a great experience.
Parent #4
I think the teachers, staff, and other parents are very helpful and understanding. I have never felt I couldnt ask for help or advice. All 4 of my children love the school... Plus its still small enough that everyone knows everyone by name. I love the fact that the 8th graders will say hi to my daughter and that the priciple is always standing outside in the morning to smile and give hugs to the kids.
Parent #5
See no weaknesses - we are thrilled with this school!
Parent #6
There need to be parent training seminars required to encourage and support families.

Being Savvy Today
A Trip to Africa
If you ask most preschoolers about Africa, they will probably tell you what they saw in The Lion King. The Africa of lions, giraffes, hyenas and meerkats all living on the savannah in Africa is only a small part of a land that can exhaust the use of

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
