Parents' Comments
Parent #1
This school has its pros and cons. My child has been there for two years - I love my child's teacher and they love her - she is great at teaching and at reaching the children. She takes great interest in her students and they return home excited about what they did during the day and looking forward to go to school again. Unfortunately, the remainder of the "board" that I have witnessed for the last two years are very arrogant and I have heard them on more than one occasion bad talking parents with their holier than thou attitude. To make things worse, the teacher that I regard very highly has also taken part in these "excursions" a couple of times which makes me worry about recommending this school to parents who may not "fit in" - if you are not a white, bubbly or a stay at home mom - you may raise an eyebrow in other words. I never had a problem with anyone personally, but I find it offensive when this behavior is displayed against others.

Being Savvy Today
The Whole Wide World
It's a very big world out there , but sometimes life with small children can make the world feel as though it has shrunk down to the size of your own house and neighborhood . Small children are naturally most interested in what they can lay their bright eyes
Montessori? Waldorf? Play-based?
What school type is right for your child? Is one model better than another? What does the research say?

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
