Director's Comments
Question to director: Do you have any additional thoughts on what parents should consider when looking at your school? Is there any advice that you would like to provide to prospective parents?
Choose a school where you feel comfortable hanging around and visiting. If you're not there on recomendation then ask for some parent references. Visit several times if needed to be absolutely sure. This is the place that will guide your child from babyhood to their full potential in childhood.
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
wonderful, loving year-round preschool with young, enthusiastic teachers and parents.
Parent #2
Not a diverse group of families, the site is very run down, the tuition is high, the teachers don't seem to have a good connection with the kids, and some are just plain mean. We were there for a year. My daughter cried every day. She never wanted to go. She loves her new school and wants to go, even on weekends.

The strengths are the activities (dance, tumbling, yoga) which are encorporated into the weekly schedule and the varaiety of topics covered - i.e. Dinosaur month or Solar System month. The weaknesses are less than outstanding teachers, high teacher-student ratio.

This is a lovely community, and a great school. The kids come out of the Pre-K with very strong academic preparation. The school always seems chaotic, but the kids are happy. I can't say enough good things about it. It's not a "fancy" school with brand-new facilities, but it's an excellent environment for developing healthy, happy, engaged kids.

Baking Bread with a Toddler
As we enter into cooler weather, indoor pursuits beckon, and what could be better than baking with a toddler? I'm all over the "easy" way -- buy some pre-made dough, roll it out, and cookie cutter it to death
Montessori? Waldorf? Play-based?
