Parents' Comments
Parent #1
The class our child went to when he was 2 to 2-1/2 was great. He had a fun time and the teachers were outstanding.
The nightmare began with the next class and the teachers who absolutely refuse to be any help with potty training. Initially, they kept saying that he wasn't ready (although he was fine with using the potty even by himself at home in the evenings and weekends). They wouldn't take him on an hourly basis and he would have accident after accident. Speaking with the director on marginally improved things. Only the afternoon teacher was helpful and took him regularly. Little wonder that the week the two morning teachers took vacation, he had absolutely *no* accidents. At home, he sleeps through the night in underpants and has had one accident in the whole of last month. We're taking our child to a different institution and I wouldn't recommend this place for 2.5-3.5 year olds at all! Very disappointing!

I originally chose this school due to the fact that you can (pay extra) "watch" your kids online during the day and see what they are doing. After a few months there I stopped the video service because I knew my kids were happy and being taken care of properly. Both of my kids bonded with their teachers and classmates. They enjoy going to "school" everyday. I like the pre-school director Ms Linda - she has always been attentive to our needs and the kids love her. The class sizes are small now-which I love (enrollment is lower at this site) our kids get more attention this way. Now, I do have some issues with the floater teachers. They are sent all over the school so sometimes you can't get detailed info. from your childs day. The "main" teachers always seem to know what's going on. The school is pretty expensive and I have to say I get bugged when teachers tell me they can't afford supplies for the classroom due to budget reasons- what am I paying all that money for?! There is also a great shaded playground and indoor play area for bad/too hot weather.
Overall, I think parents can feel comfortable that their kids will have fun and nothing bad will happen to them while they are away!

Teaching Children Gratitude
Halloween’s hedonistic greediness is past (has the candy “gone bad” and disappeared at your house yet?), and the Thanksgiving season is upon us. For those of us with young children who tend to mark the passage of time according to holidays and seasons, this new phase of the year offers
Montessori? Waldorf? Play-based?
What school type is right for your child? Is one model better than another? What does the research say?
