I can't say enough about this facility. Little Treasures is a day care facility and a preschool. They also offer after-school care. The tuition is incredibly reasonable. The owners are a mother-daughter team that can not be beat. They are the owners of LT and are more like Grandma and Auntie to my son.
My child has been going here for two years now (since he was two) and has been a part of the preschool program since he was three -there were days he didn't want to go outside with the "babies". He wanted to stay with the "big boys" (they were 4) and he joined them in their preschool studies. Our teacher raves about my son's success and I know she's a HUGE part of that. He loves going to school everyday.
I love when my son comes home dirty, with sand and paint, because I know he's been very active and exploring different ways of learning. They go on wonderful field trips and celebrate each holiday to it's fullest. For St. Patrick's day they are having green pancakes. They get to decorate them with sprinkles and cherries and yummy things like that and then they are going on a treasure hunt. Oh to be 4 again.
If you're looking for a wonderful place for your child to learn, play and explore, give Little Treasures a call today.

This school is excellent in helping the kids learn communications skills, appropriate social skills (e.g. sharing, turn taking, cleaning up after themselves, etc.) When the children do something they are not supposed to, rather than time outs, they have the child "right" what they have done wrong (clean up the mess or apologize and help the other child they've hurt) so they learn from their mistakes. The program is a nice mix of academics taught in a developmentally appropriate manner for preschoolers. All the parents I've met a so excited that they've found this little gem of a school.

Joy Through a Child's Eyes
It was a cold and soggy day at the Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo. Cold, that is, for March day here in Austin. Of all the sights to see, my son spent most of our visit at the petting zoo. He picked out his

Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
