My 2 daughters have attended Centro Armonia beginning with the 2.5 yrs old group and continued through to the Kinder/1st grade program. We are very pleased with the curriculum, teachers and administration. Both my daughters have thrived here. My oldest is now in 2nd grade at our neighborhood school. She was well prepared for elementary school. This program has also provided a community for our family and both my kids and I have made close friends who we hang out with outside of school. The teachers have dealt with each of my children's uniqueness in great ways. My oldest is rambunctious and my youngest is shy. The teachers are committed to each child being successful (at least they have been with my kids). There is much thought that goes into planning the curriculum, field trips, and unique annual community activities (Dia de Los Muertos, Mother's Day and Father's Day). These are a few of the points that make this a special program....plus its all in Spanish! I feel the school is reasonably priced based on the quality of preschool education plus the enrichment of the Spanish language immersion.

I have only good things to say about the school. The teachers are loving and nurturing. They are passionate about teaching young children and do an outstanding job of teaching Spanish, social skill and academics. The teachers are native Spanish speakers which was a requirement for me. The school exceeded my expectations with regard to meeting my daughters specific needs (she was very shy) and helped her easily integrated into the program. If you are looking for a bilingual/immersion program I highly recommend this one.

The staff is kind and have a big heart, but.......
The school has has a problem with teacher turnover. New staff every school year.
The teachers are mainly educated in their Native Latin American countries and don't know how to handle classroom behavior and role model "Positive Discipline".

Joy Through a Child's Eyes
It was a cold and soggy day at the Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo. Cold, that is, for March day here in Austin. Of all the sights to see, my son spent most of our visit at the petting zoo. He picked out his

Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
