Parents' Comments

Parent #1
My son has had an amazing experience during his two years at this school. He is extremely shy, and we had to endure many months of separation anxiety. However, his teachers have been so loving, patient, and kind that he has overcome his fear of school and now loves it. He's begun to come out of shell, making friends and joyfully participating in the day's activities. His teachers deserve to be in the preschool hall of fame. They are wonderfully giving individuals -- I am so fortunate that they have been a part of our lives. I could not have asked for -- or even imagined -- a better first educational experience for my son.

loving and intellectually stimulating at the same time

Parent #3
This school is strongly supported by the church so there is little to no fundraising asked of the parents. Focus is strictly on providing a safe, creative environment for children to learn to interact with others successfully prior to elementary school. This is a fairly new program (10 years old) that is constantly in the process of growing and changing to accomodate more and more families who have become interested in it. They seem to be on a very positive, fast-growing track!

Parent #4
I wish they would do parent/teacher conferences at least at the end of the school year so that I would have a better idea of my child's strengths and weaknesses in the classroom. Our teacher communication is currently limited to drop off and pick up and it is usually a hectic time.

Parent #5
The director is the reason the preschool is run so smoothly. She is an invaluable support and resource to teachers and parents alike.

Get large plastic buckets (or sand buckets if you have lots of really little toys )in a variety of solid colors (red, blue, yellow, green, pink). Ask your child to clean up his/her toys by putting the toys in the bucket corresponding to the color bucket. Great for teaching personal responsibility, color identification, and sorting.
