The preschool is good but the elementary school is going downhill.

Centennial Academy is fairly new, now in its 4th year. I was worried about that, since new places sometimes have "kinks" to work out, but my daughter is really doing well there. They have a good mix of structure and play. She's ahead of some kids, academically, but what I really want from a Pre-K is learning to be with kids her own age, sharing, making friends, resolving conflicts, etc., and learning to be away from mommy, so that Kindergarten isn't a trauma! The hours are SO flexible (campus opens at 7 and closes at 5:30, with no extra charge) with actual classes running 8:30-3:30. She loves her teacher (a 12-year veteran) and her assistant teacher. I looked at many schools and programs, and I feel like we did the right thing.

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
