Director's Comments
Question to director: Do you have any additional thoughts on what parents should consider when looking at your school? Is there any advice that you would like to provide to prospective parents?
See as many facilities as you can before you make a choice and listen to your gut feeling.
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
My son has attended ABCs for two years now, and it has been a wonderful and warm environment for him. He has been appropriately challenged by the content, and nurtured by the warmth of the faculty. It is an active school with lots of play, walks to the nearby Ocean Beach, walks to a nearby park, and daily play on a courtyard. I like knowing that my son is surrounded by warmth.
Parent #2
The program at this school is very well thought out. They have monthly themes and place emphasis on multicultural awareness. They kids regularly get out into the neighborhood and visit a nearby playground and local library. In addition, they take monthly field trips. The parent involvement is strong with many parents accompanying the class for field trips. They also have monthly family potlucks which is a great way to get to know the teachers and other families better. They have a yearly family camping trip which is a highlight. The staff is strong. They have a 'new' director who was a teacher at the school for many years.
Parent #3
This school promotes community by hosting monthly potlucks and a yearly family camping trip. Families are encouraged to chaperone fieldtrips. The staff continually tries to encourage communication between students when there are conflicts.

Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
