If a child in the class has contracted a contagious illness, the preschool would give each family a handout detailing the situation, description of the disease, and prevention methods. Orderliness: The school year starts off with an introduction to the children the ground rules in the classroom, so the children know what to do and what to expect. Discipline: If a child hits/pushes another child, he/she is required to sit aside to cool off. Children are encouraged to use their words in resolving conflicts.

Get large plastic buckets (or sand buckets if you have lots of really little toys )in a variety of solid colors (red, blue, yellow, green, pink). Ask your child to clean up his/her toys by putting the toys in the bucket corresponding to the color bucket. Great for teaching personal responsibility, color identification, and sorting.
