Parents at this school, on average, believe that conflicts between children:
...are handled extraordinarily well in a way that not only gives me confidence in the safety of my child but also reassures me that my child (and his/her peers) are learning the early skills needed to socialize effectively with one another

Director's Description to School's Approach to Discipline
We talk to the children and explain why something is unsafe or not courteous and after we know the child understands and continues to do it then we give time out for a few minutes depending on the age of the child.
Director's Response to a Sample Discipline Scenario
Description of how teachers handle the following scenario: Child A and Child B are good friends and usually play together. One day, Child A decides to play with Child C and tells Child B, 'I don't want to play with you today. I'm playing with Child C instead.'
'It's ok to play with your other friend, but you don't have to tell your friend you don't want to play with him/her. We are all friends here.'
Parents' Notes on Discipline, Health and Safety
Parent #1
2-3 year olds are biters, that is their weapon of choice when they get frustrated. The school does a good job in talking with them and explaining to the biter what is wrong and gives better options to express themselves. The victim also was spoken with. Having one child who was a biter and another the bitten I never felt like the situation was not dealty with quickly and appropriately.
Parent #2
Its not high end top of the line equipment, but its very well cared for and clean. The kids have alot of time to play in the jungle gym outside, ride bikes, play with the toys. Its a good safe environment.

Being Savvy Today
Joy Through a Child's Eyes
It was a cold and soggy day at the Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo. Cold, that is, for March day here in Austin. Of all the sights to see, my son spent most of our visit at the petting zoo. He picked out his
