Parents at this school, on average, believe that conflicts between children:
...are handled extraordinarily well in a way that not only gives me confidence in the safety of my child but also reassures me that my child (and his/her peers) are learning the early skills needed to socialize effectively with one another

Parents' Notes on Discipline, Health and Safety
Parent #1
There is a constant struggle that is not unique to Friends, between parents who need their children taken care of while they work, even though the child is sick. The school has a nurse who all the children love to visit and get stickers from, but who the parents hate to hear from because it means they have to go and get their child from school!
Parent #2
In my visits I have seen the teachers deal with unruly children, children who are fighting with others, etc. They always seem to handle it quickly and effectively, while maintaining a sense of humor -- something I would have a lot of trouble with.
Parent #3
The school is extraordinarily well supplied. Children want for very little. BFS uses a pass-card system which must be shown at the front lobby -- good system - but not foolproof when the lobby gets overcrowded.

What school type is right for your child? Is one model better than another? What does the research say?
