Parents' Notes on Discipline, Health and Safety
Parent #1
The place is immaculate. There is a strict no-nuts policy. Is there a school out there that will turn away a kid who arrives with a cold? The security guard at the door will not let you in if he does not recognize you and if you do not have a special key tag.
Parent #2
When my child came home crying because he said people were not sharing with him, I spoke to the teacher. She said that if the children want to play on their own and they have the toys first, they are allowed to do that. How unfair is that to the other kids?
We always teach our kids please and thank you and when I picked my child up a little earlier during lunch one day, the children were not saying more please or thank you when they were served. By the end of the school year if their teachers are reminding them each time, shouldn't they be doing that?
Discipline is non existent here. I once heard a child say shut up to another and the teacher didn't even acknowledge it.
They do have some workshops for parents occasionally which was nice but I had to arrange childcare on my own for my little one so I could attend.
They have a really great music teacher that comes to each class once a week. I don't know what the other site is like because my son was so young he at the time he was at the 92nd street location. Now he's in a Montessori school on the UWS and we're really happy.

A Great Book Rhymes!
Kids are a funny bunch. They are often loath to change and anything new. But still, our little ones are open to so much -- and so much more than we more ossified parents are! Think of poetry: preschoolers happily read and repeat poems with ease and

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
On a day when you plan to stay home, have everyone put together the wildest, wackiest outfits they can find and wear them all day. Pair some striped pants or crazy skirt with sneakers or flip flops and a Tiara. Everyone needs to join in. Choose a new 'character' name and be someone different for the day! Don't forget to take pictures!
