Director's Description to School's Approach to Discipline
Self-Discipline is a guiding principle. The Child is motivated to succeed and to do the right thing. The community atmosphere is conducive to friendly lessons in good behavior and making choices to benefit others. Parent-Teacher communication supports success.
Director's Response to a Sample Discipline Scenario
Description of how teachers handle the following scenario: Child A and Child B are good friends and usually play together. One day, Child A decides to play with Child C and tells Child B, 'I don't want to play with you today. I'm playing with Child C instead.'
This free association is accepted and children learn that it is safe to make choices. This choice is usually varied from one activity to another and does not imply that a child would only play with one other child for the day.
Also, any child can ask to watch or join in an activity and it is the option of the child who is responsible for the activity to allow other children to watch or help.

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Make sand at home! Half the fun is creating, and half is playing with the material. Mix all listed ingredients together in a plastic bin, and then give your child small containers, shovels, funnels so that they can dump and fill. Toy cars and bulldozers are also a lot of fun.
