Director's Description to School's Approach to Discipline

Focus is placed on prevention of discipline problems by introducing simple classroom, health and safety rules during the first few weeks that promote harmonious group interaction. A year long focus on the concepts of "respect" and "responsibility" help young children learn how to take into consideration the feelings of others and how to take care of others and the environement. A cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to learning new social skills is encouraged. Feedback for appropriate behavior receives most of the teacher's attention, mistakes are handled by peer and teacher verbal feedback and, if needed, brief time out.

Food Allergies

- We do not allow certain foods in the classroom

- We ask parents to provide child-safe snacks for their allergic child

Medications
