Parents at this school, on average, believe that conflicts between children:
...are handled extraordinarily well in a way that not only gives me confidence in the safety of my child but also reassures me that my child (and his/her peers) are learning the early skills needed to socialize effectively with one another

Parents' Notes on Discipline, Health and Safety
Parent #1
Lamplighter has an AMAZING barn with farm animals, a greenhouse, and a large playground for various ages and developmental stages.
Parent #2
The school actually sends out instructions on when NOT to send your child to school (i.e. what color runny nose or if they have a temp), and the moment a child is diagnosed with something (i.e. chicken pox) the entire parent body is notified and in specific they may tell the students specific class to be extra careful. I would also add that last year when our daughter caught a stomch bug and was in the hospital the nurse called us to ask the symptoms and to indicate if any other children had come down with the symptoms. Also her classroom teacher even came to see her - which was the greatest moment for her.
Parent #3
I really have no idea if they clean the furniture regularly.
Parent #4
The school is a unique building with fire places, centered learning areas 'wells' and open classrooms. It is a fun place to learn and a warm and welcoming place. It is a child's school not a fancy structure.

The new year is all about starting fresh. For some reason, the holidays and winter months cast a spell on us and we feel comforted by the clutter that has gathered all around us. With most schools kicking back into gear this week, this is the time to take inventory, clean
