Parents' Notes on Discipline, Health and Safety
Parent #1
Not clean, not clean, not clean. Halls always smell like urine. Child was never clean when i picked him up. Outside bikes all broken.
Parent #2
School was in better shape previously.
Parent #3
While this was a work in progress facility to begin with behind the previous owner (who made improvements on a weekly basis) it is no longer the case....I witnessed a large rickety cabinet hutch fall on a teacher and child (both were ok...but this definitely shaken my confidence in safety when i saw this) there is a coded electronic pad on the entrance door, but people are allowed to 'tailgate' behind others that are coming in and others going out hold it open for those coming in as well. NO random id checks , only a partially kept signature log of drop off and pick up of each child is maintained...but good luck if you have the same teacher checking it each morning or each evening. outside equipment is in poor condition and only fencing of the outdoor play area for compliance has been improved in the last 6 months. I came to the school to pick up my child one day and the school had a power outage that day...no back up generator and the kids were inside the front door huddle (no air conditioning available on this hot 90 degree florida day) understandably the facility has 24 hours to report something like this to the DCF board...but parents were not even contacted to let us know of the situation...and we only found out when we arrived at the end of the work day to pick up our child.

Being Savvy Today
On My Own
We met up with my father for a weekend in Grayton Beach, Florida . It was too short as the girls don't see nearly enough of their grandparents, but we packed it full of fun. We spent our last day on the beach

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
