Director's Comments
While most areas of the curriculum are teacher-led initially, many opportunities are offered to the children to continue the experience on their own. For instance, a teacher directed craft is done by the children each day. At the same time, children have the freedom to visit the art cart table where they can create their own art. A story time is included in each day but the children can also spend some time in the library looking at books on their own.
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
During circle time, the teacher leads an interactive time of storytelling, discussing weather, alphabet, counting, singing, and other topics. She instructs, and then the children respond.
There is also a science time, which is a one-on-one project the children do with the teacher. It is a hands-on activity. Most of the academic portion is teacher-guided, child-participation.
