Parents' Comments
Parent #1
I really feel this is an ideal approach, although some parents might like it to be more formal. The only thing that is 100% teacher-led is lunch and the story that the teacher reads at lunch. Otherwise the children are encouraged to cycle through indoor and outdoor stations each day with visits and encouragement or positive obervastions from the teacher many times throughout each day. There is no pressure on a child to learn to write his name, although most do before kindergarten. Same with numbers, colors, etc ... because of the low-stress approach, most children absorb the material by playing at the stations instead of being sat on a rug to recite things or shout out answers to flash cards.

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
On a day when you plan to stay home, have everyone put together the wildest, wackiest outfits they can find and wear them all day. Pair some striped pants or crazy skirt with sneakers or flip flops and a Tiara. Everyone needs to join in. Choose a new 'character' name and be someone different for the day! Don't forget to take pictures!
