The day was made up of mostly free play but there were also stations they were expected go to for weekly letter packets or specific projects. Circle time captured stories, music, poems, the calendar, and time. Stations were usually an art project of some sort to help describe the concept being taught, like science (space, gardening, etc.)

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
