Director's Comments
We have four main goals: 1. Develop the prime elements of the child's character; self discipline and independence. 2. Develop the child's intellectual capacities by helping him or her gain the knowledge compatible to his or her age. 3. Surround the child with an orderly and joyful atmosphere to help him or her make sense of the outside world and build up a joyful and sensible order inside of themselves. 4. Surround the child with understanding and love qualified by mutual respect. 5. Within the structure of the classroom, helping the child to make choices, so that all of their choices are good ones, therefore building esteem and confidence.

Our classrooms are set up with many different stations. Most activities are teacher led, in the sense, that the teacher prepares the days objective. During the class time children will work with the teacher or are feel to choose from the many centers in the classroom. Materials are changed daily or weekly, depending on the days lesson. Again, giving the children choice, but within the limits set by the teacher.

Being Savvy Today
On My Own
We met up with my father for a weekend in Grayton Beach, Florida . It was too short as the girls don't see nearly enough of their grandparents, but we packed it full of fun. We spent our last day on the beach

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
