We believe in the central importance of a child's social/emotional growth. By providing many rich experiences in art, music, math, natural science, and literature your child will gain cognitive skills and a confident identity.

Each day at Open House is planned to include teacher-led interactive experiences and Choice Times. At Choice Time, children choose from a selection of activities/areas prepared by the teachers. All subjects noted above are also encouraged during Choice Time.
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
Open House has specialists that teach music, movement, yoga one or two times a week...and I felt there was a good balance of free play, structured play and teacher led instruction.
Parent #2
My twins attended this school for three years. It was only in their pre-K year that there was more teacher led instruction in the curricular approach. When they were two and three there was some teacher-led activities, but mostly there was a lot of time for free play.
Parent #3
The primary opportunity for taking art/music is in the after-school program - it is not a strong component of the regular school day. My son loves music - I wish it would have been offered each day in some way.
Parent #4
Open House is not rigorous or pushy. To find a fault, it might be under stimulating for an eager-to-learn child. But it is extremely warm and loving, and my daughter is very happy there.
Parent #5
Open House stresses play and learning cooperation above academic achievement, which I think is totally appropriate for preschool.
