Parents' Comments
Parent #1
There are regular activities throughout the school day, such as circle time, outside time, small group activities etc, and children are led by a teacher and also encouraged to find their own activities if they prefer. Children who do not with to participate in a scheduled activity may draw, paint, play with toys, or otherwise engage themselves how they wish. A teacher will obviously keep an eye on them and encourage them to rejoin the group if they want to. There are themes and topics covered each week, in a general sense, i.e., for The Body the kids looked at pictures and diagrams, drew around themselves on big sheets of paper, played physical games, drew pictures and made dolls, etc. HL has a Emillio-Reggia (did I spell that right?) approach, and pretty much lets the kids find their own bliss within a structure.
