Children are free to learn at their own pace with a group of friends of different ages, backgrounds and temperaments. This environment allows children to develop independence, self-direction as well as social and teamwork skills. The children learn from each other to respect their friends and to take care of their school. The structure of our daily schedule and our developmental/age appropriate curriculum allow children to explore, question and create at their own pace. Parents' Comments
Parent #1
I wish I could select multiple choices here: we have story time, but also a library area with one-on-one time with a teacher. We have dance class, but also in the block room we'll sometimes have games and a 'dance party'. So many times, there is opportunity for many levels of curriculum. At peter pan, there is a curriculum committee that plans and creates the projects at the school that encomass many different areas of child development.
