I don't want my comments to suggest that there is not enough free play, but I think one of the things that distinguishes the British School is that the nursery classroom is treated much more like a real classroom, instead of glorified day care. The children are not sitting in desks all morning just learning from the teacher, but there is much more teacher-led instruction that is then reinforced through allowing the children to play at different stations.

Follows British National Curriculum guidelines, providing structure. However, each child learns at his/her own pace with individualized instruction and tailored reading and math work/assignments.
