Director's Comments

Most instruction is given to the children by their teacher using centers set up in the classroom or outside on the playground. Children use their natural sense of curiosity and creativity to learn and absorb new information. Children do participate in a circle/group time each day.

Parents' Comments

Parent #1
Lots of age appropriate activities in a safe environment are the main focus of this play based program. "Learning through play." Process art, cooking, science, music & pre-math and pre-reading activities are planned as well as outside time with changing activities provided. Lots of social development, in a warm caring environment.

Parent #2
No child is ever forced to participate in any activity. Teachers provide free play time, foster independence, & encourage imagination through a wonderful variety of activities; stories, songs, art, cooking, science experiments, puzzles, playdough, music, dramatic play, dancing, etc.

Parent #3
The curriculum is written by the teacher but they will go with the flow of the children. If the children have something they are interested in then the whole curriculum can change. Oral language skills are handled in wonderful ways, such as journaling. The teacher asks each individual child a question and the child dictates the answer. These journals are sent home at the end of the year. What a keepsake this is for me and my child.
