Director's Comments
The Curriculum emphasizes the development of the "whole child". Learning activities are designed to match the developmental stages of each child. Attention is directed at the process and pleasure of discovery in each project and not on the final product. Quality teachers and specialists offer an integrated approach to education, skillfully interweaving academic goals and objectives as they build on what children can do, and challenge them to try new things. Language arts, reading and math readiness skills, art, science, movement, dramatic and imaginative play, and creative activities are linked through individual units as they are explored. Jewish culture, traditions, holidays, and heritage are studied and celebrated with songs, stories, dance, cooking, and crafts. Shabbat is celebrated at school each week in an atmosphere of joyful togetherness and sharing.
Children are offered specialties by professional staff in music, physical education, and computer.

Parents' Comments
Parent #1
Though the director will not call this school an 'academic' school, it is not just free play. The activities are fun and definitely help with learning though there is no 'rote' learning (e.g. memorizing or repetitive practice of for example, writing letters).
Parent #2
School has the most amazing science teacher!
Parent #3
The preschool program is designed to develop the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual well-being of each child. The program is focused on the following: coordination, sensory integration, cognitive and adapting skills, socio-emotional development, language development and moral development.

Being Savvy Today
Joy Through a Child's Eyes
It was a cold and soggy day at the Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo. Cold, that is, for March day here in Austin. Of all the sights to see, my son spent most of our visit at the petting zoo. He picked out his

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
