Beth Am is an academically based preschool, especially once the children are in pre-k. The 2 and 3 year old classes are much more play based than the pre-k classes. The pre-k classes do a wonderful job of getting the children ready for kindergarten: The school day is much like that of a typical kindergarten classroom with formal instruction and play mixed together. Although strong on the academics, the program is implemented in a 'no stress' environment!

The curriculum tends to be in-between teacher-led instruction and free play with structure. It is a good balance.

Music and P.E. are offered once a week during the regular school day. Children who go 5 days/week get music twice a week. Enrichment classes are offered for an additional fee. New Hebrew immersion language enrichment is available twice/ week.

The Wild Tangle of Grasses
If there was a single photo that could capture my feelings and thoughts about the past year, this would be it. It reminds me to keep looking toward the brightness of the light, even if I am caught in the wild tangle of grasses. This shot reminds me that

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
