Parents' Comments

Parent #1
At this age, everything is pretty much Predominantly teacher-led instruction with all the kids joining in and cooperating. The teachers always encourage all the kids to participate.

Parent #2
The classrooms are setup with stations and the children are allowed to choose what they would like to do for most of the time, but they are encouraged to participate in a variety of different stations throughout the day so that they experience and tryout new activities. There are structured circle times led by the teachers during which the children actively participate in group activities, songs, etc.

Parent #3
A nice balance of structure and free play.

Wish I had this reference when I was so dumbly looking for a pre-school. I can't remember--it's been too long. Perhaps I was only concerned about my child's safety and happiness. I think of pre-school as a place to play and learn social skills, and get introduced to basic language and maths skills; which I think this school accomplished well. Now the pre-k program is very different. There is much more emphasis on learning specific language and math skills.
